“Remember Me” is an indie-folk protest song. This is the most ‘Woody Guthrie’ I've ever gotten musically; but things are scary in the US right now and it's clearer than ever that any of us could be affected next. So I started thinking what I'd want my friends and family to remember if it was ever me. Honest, biting lyrics with an indie folk accompaniment that manages to be uplifting despite the reality in the words.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: I hope it inspires you to donate time and/or money to a local mutual aid charity in your area (food banks, shelters, immigrant support services, or whatever speaks to your heart).
